Novalja is a town on the Croatian island of Pag. Although small, it is rich with history and archeological artifacts. The most popular site is the unique ancient aqueduct from the 1st century, carved out of the solid rock. This one-of-a-kind Roman aqueduct supplied the town with water from the fields. Unfortunately, there is no direct line from Zadar Airport to Novalja. But there is still a way on how to reach Novalja by bus. First, you take a shuttle bus to the Main bus station. Then, you change the bus and take the one going to Novalja. The distance is 76 km. This means it will take you approximately 1 hour 45 minutes to reach Novalja Main station.
Keep in mind that the schedule depends on the season so remember to check the bus timetable according to your travel date. Children tickets cost approx. 5 €, while student and adult tickets cost approx. 9 €.
The easiest way to reach Novalja from Zadar Airport is by taking a taxi. You can find taxis just outside of the terminal building. They usually have a “taxi” sign on the roof so you can easily spot them. Before accepting the ride, it is good to ask a driver about the exact price.
